I am considering 1 to 1 support where do I start?

Contact us on 07512 718500 or email kathryn@kangaroofamilynurturing.co.uk to book your FREE 30 minute consultation. Following the consultation, you can decide if you would like to go ahead with some support.

How frequently will I attend sessions and how long will they last?

Most people attend sessions weekly for 1 hour. However, we can arrange alternative frequency of sessions to

suit you if needed.
The length of time you will access support will very much depend on your circumstances. Some people only

need to attend for one or two sessions and feel they have achieved what they need. Generally, people benefit

from at least 4 –6 sessions. For more complex issues longer term support will be required.

What should I expect from the sessions?

We work in a client-led way and you are fully in control of what you choose to discuss during the sessions,

and also what you want your outcomes to be.
The first week will be an assessment session, depending on the complexity of your needs the assessment

may take a little longer.

We agree at the beginning of support what you are hoping to achieve from attending and all future sessions

will be focused with this mind.

Sessions offer a reflective space to enable you to explore and understand how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours impact on your life and your relationships with others, and will also equip you with a range of

self -help tools to empower you and enable you to feel more in control of your emotions, whilst giving

you a greater resilience to future life stressors.

Where will the sessions be held?

This will be agreed at initial consultation. Sessions need to be carried out in a safe, confidential space.

We can meet at a local community venue convenient to you or in some cases it can be arranged to meet in

your own home if appropriate.

Online support can be arranged although face to face sessions are advisable where possible.

How much will sessions cost?

Session costs can vary depending on the type of support you require and where the sessions are to be carried

out so the cost will be agreed at initial consultation.

How soon should I start to feel some benefit from the support?

This is very much dependant on your circumstances and needs. Some people can feel some benefit after the

first session, for others it can take much longer.
